Here are some examples of my computer graphics design and modeling skills. For most of these I was using Lightwave. I didn’t learn Maya until later in my career, and had to leave Lightwave behind me.
Being a CG Artist is a long, long road of training and self-discovery. Not everybody can do it.
-
Ben and Aphrodite, characters from my animated web series, "Might Aphrodite".
-
Sydney the Rat, a talking avatar for the National Departments of Health.
-
Rollerbot. The head was originally designed in Lightwave on an Amiga Videotoaster, the rest in Lightwave 4.0.
-
Rollerbot closerup.
-
Cylon probe, from the Battlestar Galactica reboot pilot
-
A cyborg girl, made decades before Alita: Battle Angel.
-
Paddy the Funpad. This was supposed to be the anthropomorphic version of a real game product. Yes, I know it looks like a toilet set with arms and legs.
-
A burger monster character I made for a game for the Funpad. From design to finished animated rig took 20 hours.
-
A milkshake monster character I made for a game for the Funpad. From design to finished animated rig took 20 hours. It could pull the cherry off its head and throw it as its attack.
-
A CG environment. The hoverbots are my design. Done in 3D Studio R4.
-
A starship promenade interior. The game company was going for a Coke product placement that never happened.
-
A 3D Studio R4 image, one of the first full rendered scenes I ever did, circa 1994.
-
A character named Roswell, used in my now creeky antique demo reel.
-
A closeup of Roswell's shirt, from my old demo reel.
-
A communications satellite, made for a TV commercial. I forget which one.
-
Rollerbot again. Because of the way he was rigged, he was ungainly to animate.
-
Roswell's UFO lands in the desert (from my old demo reel.
